# libheif decode-only build — LGPL relinking offer

Built from libheif v1.19.5 and libde265 v1.0.15 with emscripten/emsdk:3.1.74.

The module is a standalone WebAssembly file, fetched by URL at runtime and never
linked into the application bundle. FileSlimmer calls it through the C interface
listed above and nothing else, so a recipient may modify libheif or libde265,
rebuild with this script, and serve their own build at the same path: any module
exporting that same surface takes its place without modifying FileSlimmer.

It is NOT an Emscripten side module. An earlier version of this notice said it
was, describing a MAIN_MODULE/SIDE_MODULE arrangement the build does not use —
the emcc invocation below carries neither flag. The relinking permission is the
core LGPL obligation for this artefact, so the mechanism it names is stated as it
actually is.

x265 encoding is excluded. This build decodes only; FileSlimmer does not
offer HEIC encoding.
